Individual Therapy

Many of my individual clients are insight-oriented and seek help uncovering the unconscious habits and patterns that are no longer serving them. I work with individuals on a weekly basis and have experience with a wide range of presenting concerns from stress and anxiety to serious mental illness. I specialize in psychotherapy with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, human sexuality and relationship issues. I also enjoy working with people around identity issues. For some clients this may be coming out as an artist after a career in law. For other clients, this may be reconciling a conflict between religious and sexual identities. I use an integrative approach combining psychodynamic, interpersonal, humanistic, mindfulness and third-generation cognitive behavioral perspectives.

Relationship Therapy

If you are here for relationship therapy, your relationship is the client. I have experience working with couples around communication, alignment of values, and sexual compatibility. I work with those in all phases of the coupling and the uncoupling process, as well as those navigating non-traditional arrangements. Marginalized relationships, particularly those in the LGBTQIA+, kink, poly, neurodiverse and interracial communities are welcome. In Relationship Therapy, I draw upon psychodynamic theories, family attachment styles and patterns, and the development stage of your relationship to help you uncover the patterns that cause challenges. Sessions are typically 50 minutes with occasional 80 minute sessions when appropriate.
